"Anthony has a sort of sixth sense for noticing when Coy is upset. He always has, but it feels like it's been more prominent these past few weeks. When Coy is angry, or scared, or sad. Anthony just... knows it. With anyone else, he'd probably just ignore it. With Coy though, it feels impossible. Like he's in Coy’s orbit, pulled to him. So close that he's somehow intertwined himself in his emotions and he can't untangle himself.
He isn't sure why, and he doesn't want to think about whatever implications that might have."
or, coy and anthony are both having a pretty bad time, but for different reasons. and then it's for the same reason.
