What was considered normal? Aren had no idea but he knew he had been failing to achieve it for the entirety of his short life. A fact that his mother wouldn't let him forget and even when his parents leave him on his own her voice still tells him that he's different. That he's unnatural and wrong.
Was normality something he could even achieve? The tingle of a sixth sense told him no and the budding of new and old issues would keep him chained to the abnormal parts of himself. He wanted to be different from who he was but he knew it wasn't possible no matter how hard he tried. Not even having normal friends would change the fact that he was unnatural.
