Summary
Six years since the original RoboCop unit was created, two attempts to replace it were made and failed. Now in 1997, an ambitious new venture is made to create a proper successor. One driven by an artificial intelligence than a brain. When a young anthropomorphic Detroit police rookie is killed in the line of duty on his first day, his mind will become the foundation of that new unit.
Nine months later, this new unit is sent off 744 miles west to Raccoon City, attached to the police's Special Tactics & Rescue Service (STARS) to aid in the investigation of a series of unexplained murders that have been ongoing since May 1998. As the rear guard of Bravo Team, the RoboCop RC-2000 will find itself entering the world of survival horror that even the mean streets of Detroit hasn't prepared it for. At its side is team medic and designated field technician Rebecca Chambers, an untested 18 year old rookie and biochemist who now has the most advanced police robot on the planet protecting her.
