“I actually still wear it, too.” Tory lifts an arm and tugs down the sleeve of her jacket, exposing the bracelet underneath, while turning her arm and showing off the dull gleam. “Despite your mom trying to get it destroyed, or whatever.”
Sam blinks and expects her breath to catch at the sight of it, but instead finds herself far more distracted at the undeniable, unapologetic fact of Tory’s two dull, filed nails that splay in contrast to the sharp points of her ring and pinky. She feels heat flash across her face, and tries to hide it with a quick sip of her beer, nearly choking when the gulp proves to be too much. “Oh. Yeah, that’s – uh, yeah.”
