“Well… my master chef rarely makes such mistakes, unless something is bothering him.” Lyney muses, a small smile playing on his lips. “Do you want to talk about it?” He asks warmly, his thumb gently swiping against the back of Aether's hand who shakes his head.
“No..no you’re still recovering, I shouldn’t be keeping you up.” Lyney chuckles at Aether’s concern and cups his cheek, gazing at him with a grateful and somewhat amused smile.
“Mon amour… while I do appreciate you looking out for me, I promise I’ll be fine, I have been through much worse.” When Aether tenses up in worry at that statement Lyney quickly backtracks, “What I meant by that, is you don’t have to stress about me being up; I can still recover just fine even if I lose some sleep.” He pauses, a reassuring smile taking place as he makes eye contact with Aether before speaking softly, “To me, making sure my very beloved partner is okay is a much more meaningful task, and after all, I’m used to staying on my feet.”
