  Summary

  The world lies in ruins.

It has been 200 years since Korra's time. The physical and spirit worlds have been torn apart, a great cataclysm wrecked the land and what remains of humanity survives in Seven Havens. Beyond their settlements the land is a wasteland of endless storms, tornadoes, volcanoes, and earthquakes. The survivors blame the Avatar for all of it.

Everyone believes the Avatar is gone for good.

That is true at least until the most rule following airbender in all of Ellora, discovers he can also firebend. Turning himself in is the one law he can't bring himself to follow.
