    From the dawn of quirks one simple fact was clear. Only women received them. Men were born quirkless without fail. Over time they lost their social standing and became targets of abuse to many, with much of the dwindling male populations forming their own societies away from the rest of the world. This has left very few men existing in mainstream society.
    So when Inko and Hisashi Midoriya give birth to a boy, they decide they're going to do everything they can to keep his confidence alive and encourage him to strive for his goals, even if they're to become a hero. He'll make it into UA and go on to show the world that anyone can be a hero, all while gaining the attention of many women.
