There is a 50/50 chance to kick either a Trick Pumpkin or a Treat Pumpkin. Renato kicks a Trick Pumpkin and ends up cursed . . . or so he's being told. Renato doesn't believe in curses, much less ones brought upon by a pumpkin, but given the twisted rules of this realm, something probably did go sideways in the trial as a result. But cursed? C’mon now. Not even Renato Lyra is gullible enough to fall for that.

Renato scrambles to get back up, feeling the cool mud between his fingers. But that's just it. He can only feel it. He can't see the mud. Can't see his hands. Renato realizes, with horror, that he can't see a single thing.
It's pitch-black. All Renato sees is darkness. Nothing.

Renato is inflicted with Hex: The Third Seal and is left blind in the middle of a trial. Thankfully he comes across Jake, the survivor helping him navigate the dangerous situation.
