It was strange to sit at the table with Katarina, Cassiopeia and their mother at dinner, pretending nothing was wrong when Marcus’ absence had been a loud and painfully obvious flaw in what was left of their pack. That’s why Talon had left the mansion; he’d gone looking for him to bring him home.
He never expected to run into the reason he left the pack as well.
