Fifty years after the Great War, Diablo finds himself on the verge of death. This was not caused by a powerful opponent of even a battle at all. It was caused by himself. Or more precisely, his illness. Demons are immune to all diseases and sickness except one. The hanahaki disease. The curse cast by Veldanava himself. And who is this lucky (unlucky?) maiden you ask? Why it's the Great Demon Lord Rimuru himself.
For context, hanahaki disease is a disease that is caused by requited love. It makes the person in love incredibly ill (coughing up flower petals and blood) and mostly results in death. In my version though, the cure is a bit different :).
