Summary
It’s not like it’s a surprise. He knows Eddie can take his weight, he’s watched him for years carrying heavy equipment and lifting patients. He knows what Eddie benches at the gym. It’s just– it’s one thing to be conceptually aware of something and another to be handed incontrovertible proof of it. Plus, this is Buck at his biggest, his broadest, his strongest. He’s tall and heavy, he isn’t an easy man to carry, most people would find it impossible and lots more would struggle, and here’s Eddie, catching him like it’s nothing.

Eddie’s eyes widened. He blinked. Then blinked again. He spun toward Buck, holding the papers like they were radioactive. “Hey… Buck?”
“Yeah?” Buck said, completely relaxed, blissfully unaware, sorting the rest of the mail on the table.
“Quick question… when did we get married?”

Summary
Buck accidentally serves Eddie with divorce papers.
Eddie was standing in the living room, phone clenched in his hand. He didn’t yell. Not yet. He held the phone up, screen glowing, and said very clearly, “Why am I getting divorce papers?”
Buck froze. His smile vanished, eyes widening as recognition hit all at once. His brain scrambled, pieces clicking together too late. “Oh,” Buck said. “It really was that easy?”
Eddie’s jaw tightened.
Buck took a step forward automatically, hands lifting like he could calm this with his body alone. “Okay, so, hear me out—”
