If he had become a curse user— and it still feels like a nightmare or a dream, a fantasy that's warm and cold, and bright and dark— who would have been the one to finally kill him?
He wonders if it would have been Gojo. And something in him stirs— everything in him stirs.
Because, what an awful thing. To have Gojo kill him. To make him go through such a bargain once again. Like a curse his Infinity cannot keep away.
But, what a beautiful thing, too. Because what better way to die there is? How else would he rather die if not by the hands of the Gojo Satoru himself. What an honour.
What a perfect, logical thing. No one wants to die by the hands of the very thing they love. But, if Nanami had to choose, he would like it to be that way. Who else would he rather be his executioner? Who else than his loved one?
It would be a miracle, he thinks. To have his last moments with those hands on him, that he doubts would be rough, even in such context. Looking into those eyes that would probably be filled with more emotion than he has ever seen in them. Perhaps even hearing that voice, murmuring something with the word love in it.

Satoru hadn't planned on ending up in 2007. He had simply wanted to die and forget about the burden of being the strongest, about how much everyone relied on him. He needed to keep fighting for his students, but did he really have to stay in the world of sorcerers right now? In a way, he wanted to flirt with Suguru for all eternity, but was there any point? Geto was too entrenched in his "monkey" ideology, and Gojo didn't think he had any chance of changing his mind.
