Summary
Everything in Clara's life always seemed to work out for her: the science fair in 1936 that landed her admission to NYU, meeting Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers in 1939, and gaining employment under the leading technological innovator of her time, Howard Stark in 1940.
As the war in Europe drags on, Clara finds herself in the midst of it all as part of the Strategic Scientific Reserve. With Hydra on the rise, the Reserve pivots from the success of Project Rebirth to focus its efforts on taking them down.
On February 15th, 1945, Steve, Bucky, and the rest of the 107th find themselves in the Russian Alps, nearly finished with their mission of destroying Hydra bases across Europe.
On February 20th, Clara Brown realized that she had simply always been in the right place at the right time for her whole life.
Until she wasn't in her time at all.
