She blinked—Once, then twice to ensure he wasn’t a hallucination. Damn it. He was still there, frustrating grin and all. “Do you, really?” She asks, unphased.
“But, of course! Just come with me.”
Without any further elaboration, Rui turned and walked off. Without much choice, Nene followed Rui with the enthusiasm of a death row inmate awaiting execution. She knew, with every step she took, she was being led to something close enough to a certain demise—or possibly, a fate far worse.
March 14, White Day, one month after Valentine's. After Rui left her standing alone, waiting on nothing, Nene swore she'd forever hate Valentine's Day. But, as he crawls back into her life, she wonders just how set she is on her hatred.
