Summary
Hyunjin let the bottle slip from his hand. A dull thud, a tremor perfectly placed. He crouched to pick it up, hands shaking, deliberate — a signal for the right eyes to catch.
A shadow fell over him. "Let me."
Changbin’s voice was rough, like he’d been swallowing words that finally clawed their way out. His hand reached out first, brushing Hyunjin’s — brief, electric, devastating. Hyunjin let the contact stay, let Changbin feel the shiver.
Up close, Changbin was a storm barely contained: jaw tight, pulse hammering at his temple like it was trying to break free. Hyunjin could feel the unraveling. Not caused by him, not exactly, but triggered all the same. A breach of protocol. A fracture of distance.
Hyunjin wanted to devour it, to taste the heat sweating through Changbin’s composure. To bite down just to hear what sound he'd make when he finally broke.
But he only exhaled softly. “Long day."
Changbin’s gaze darkened.
“You’re shaking.”
Hyunjin wants to make him slip. Changbin wants to keep him safe.
