Lan Wangji goes very still. More still. Surely Wei Ying can’t… Surely he can’t mean…
Wei Ying looks up at him and smiles. “Hey Lan Zhan. Won’t you marry me?”
Lan Wangji’s teacup falls to the table with a dull thunk, leaking tea onto the polished wooden surface.
