The house is oppressively quiet. It always is, but Suo Hayato is not yet used to the way everyone moves throughout the halls silently, as if a sign of life is a crime. He is used to chaos, now, jostled shoulders and shouted greetings and other loud things.
The silence doesn’t serve him like it used to. What once allowed him to slip by unnoticed now forces him center stage, his stifled sobs the only noise to be heard.-
