“So,” Ichijou-san says, ignoring the bland look Godai slants at him, “What brings you to us?”
Eiji takes the proffered glass, staring into the dark liquid within for a moment before he can’t help but grin as he says, “Professor Sawatari offered to help me with my research on a particularly stubborn problem I’ve been trying to solve. Are we pretending you don’t know why?”
Ichijou-san chuckles. “Maybe a little. I’m curious how a linguist factors into your quest to restore your partner’s Medal, if you don’t mind sharing the particulars.”
“Ichijou-san,” Godai admonishes, “There is a fine line between investigation and stalking.”
Eiji takes his research to some new friends he finds he has a lot in common with. Self indulgent character study crossover + epilogue with Ankh actually in it because I wanted a happy ending.

Wei Ying pulls off Chenqing. The note abruptly falters, going sharp as he blocks the blow intended for Lan Wangji.
The strike is strong and fast. The Wen’s knife is sharp. It takes Wei Ying’s body an endless, aching moment to realize it has been harmed. And then there’s blood, splashing hot across Wei Ying’s face and clothing.
Wei Wuxian is injured on the battlefield defending Lan Wangji. They both have feelings about it.
