Summary
Evan Thorne knew about the darkest parts of the world ever since he was five and saw his father shoot a man in the head, and whispered ‘The Moriyama’s send their regards’. Ever since, he knew he would be just another soldier like his father.
He had been called brilliant and prodigy; meaningless words that always came with the reminder of the title he hated the most “soldier”. It was his fate to become just like his father, and he had tried to run from it; but he was never fast enough.
Maybe fate didn’t exist, but when the explosion came, all he had left was the “Soldier” engraved at his birth. And now, a fancy apartment he was stuck in with a man he would kill one day just to be free.
