“Miranda,” he croaks again, and then suddenly there are arms enfolding him, squeezing, wrapped around him so tightly as to almost deny him breath.

Summary
Vane hears that the new captain has set up house with a mysterious couple from London. He doesn't trust Flint or anything about these Barlows, and he plans on finding out what they're all up to.

Summary
Vane sat back in his chair and regarded him with bemused pity. “I was going to agree to marry you,” he said lightly. “Came here to find out whether you were addled or if he was forcing you in some way. And you’d almost convinced me neither was true. But you’re not in your right mind about him.”
A slightly left-field AU in which Thomas and Charles discuss questions of madness, forgiveness and love, Hal makes a guest appearance, and James does a bit of glaring.
