He'd been so sure. The lingering touches during rehearsals, the way Jungkook's eyes would find his across crowded room, the way he would stick close to him no matter where they were, those late-night conversations that felt like they were dancing around something more. All those moments he'd collected like precious stones, building a castle of maybes and what-ifs.

They were at the beach after they have performed their last concert – Taehyung had planned to confess here himself, actually. He wanted to make his Jungkookie feel at home like the younger one was his. He wanted the moon to witness the start of something special. The ocean breeze carried the salt of future tears he didn't know he'd shed.
"I think I have feelings for Jimin-hyung."
Seven words. That's all it took to tear down years of careful hope. Taehyung could feel his smile freezing as the wall starts suddenly acting up, he had learned to hide earthquakes behind gentle curves of lips with the help of the wall.

Summary
