Ten minutes. That's all he had to do was wait ten minutes until he could get out, until he could breathe. But fuck, this was a horrible idea. Rust coming was a terrible idea! Why is he waiting? Why is he struggling to move his feet? Why can't he just run until his body finally gives out? Why does he wait until Rust leaves his bedroom with his riot gear on, a jacket that isn't his normal trench coat, a backpack bigger than the one Zero grabbed, and this face that told Zero he was scared but ready to do anything? He'd seen that face a hundred times before.

Zero_one is dying; he feels it in his body, and he knows it's going to be time for him to leave soon, but the aching fear of his family finding him gone hurt too much for him to bare, so he decides late one night to leave home to find a resting place where they wont find him in the state he would be in. but what happens when Rust assumes this is an unexpected road trip just for the two of them and joins him, leading them to travel across the country and slowly start to fall deeper into each others warm smiles.
