Krailert and Dhevi appeared to have a better relationship after he was fired from his job and mysteriously free of any kind of social contacts, now that Veera had disappeared just like his old actor friend. To be exact, Dhevi was pregnant with their second child, he was a loyal house husband who composed music in his free time (whilst he wasn't looking after the older child) and their nephew was living peacefully in Paris.
Only Dhevi knew what her husband was drowning in his own thoughts and dreams, the light that she fell in love with as a young woman had left his eyes the moment she ripped his ticket to America up and watched Trin leave for Paris, knowing his nephew still had a chance at happiness if fate answered his cries.
She had to do something, or she wouldn't have a husband for much longer. A bond she had no control over would force Naran back to Thailand, for her husband's sake.
