Across the apartment, Vi moved quietly. She’d placed the hardest-to-open jars at strategic points: the high shelf, the back of the fridge, even one in Caitlyn’s tea cabinet—her favorite honey jar, sealed just tight enough.
“Operation: Redemption Featuring Sabotaged Jars," she mumbled to herself, trying not to laugh.
Then she tidied the kitchen. Washed dishes neither of them had dirtied. Even folded Caitlyn’s jacket, hanging it neatly by the door. All of it pointless, really. She knew words mattered more to Caitlyn than gestures.
But Vi had never been good with words—she only knew how to prove herself through actions.

Caitlyn is sulking and ignoring her wife, Vi. And Vi does the only thing she could do to make Caitlyn ask for her help—she tightens all the jars in the house in hope that Caitlyn would ask for her help.
