---In which Izuku remains quirkless, and becomes a journalist (and vigilante, shh!), while Katsuki becomes a pro hero. It's just a cherry sweet reunion... until Katsuki is kidnapped.
Needless to say, Izuku won't be sitting this one out!Note: Main story finishes at chapter 7 (approximately 18,000 words).
Every chapter after that is like a oneshot set in the same universe, and considered 'bonus content' (i.e. mostly -but not exclusively- smut).

Summary
Midoriya Izuku has always known that life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Being fatherless and Quirkless, Izuku has experienced disappointment, hurt and pain from a very young age. He learnt to fight for himself, for the little hope and happiness he carries in his heart. And he was doing okay. He has a mother who loves him dearly, his best friends who were always there for him, and a fiance who loves him and obsesses a little too much over him. He might not have all the sunshine and rainbows, but Izuku was happy with all that he has.
Until he walked in on his fiance with a woman, both in their naked glory and their sweaty bodies an entangling mess with one another. And he discovered things, stomach retching sickening things, and he wasn’t sure if he was ever going to be okay ever again.
And then, as if fate was playing with him, Midoriya Izuku was reunited with the last person he thought he would ever see. His ex bestest friend, his first love, the very same red eyed blonde who tossed him aside at 16 for being Quirkless. Izuku knows life is never predictable but this, the way his life took a turn in a whole unexpected direction, he would and had never seen it coming his way.

Katsuki loves Izuku so much that he swallows the pain of Izuku’s rejection of joining his agency, choosing to be content with having Izuku as his weekend patrol partner. He loves his nerd so much that as long as Izuku is by his side and happy, he doesn’t care if his heart is hurting.

"This is the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me," Izuku said suddenly.
"Tch. Really?" Katsuki wasn't sure about that. "It's a shitty grilled cheese on the beach."
Izuku smiled meekly. "Yeah, but I think it's perfect. The ocean's so pretty. And it's so quiet out here." He blushed for a moment, then forged on. "Kacchan is pretty, too."
When Izuku's relationship ends abruptly, his friends take him on a beach vacation to help get his mind off of things. On the last day of their trip, Izuku lets down his guard, gets up on stage at the bar, and sings karaoke.
A certain handsome blonde can't seem to keep his eyes off of him.
In which Izuku and Katsuki meet by chance one night, and fall a little more in love every second they spend together.
