Summary
Harry Potter has always been in his twin brother's shadow. Chris Potter, the Boy Who Lived, has captured the hearts of the wizarding world and his family alike. The plan has always been that Harry was going to be his bodyguard and protector when they got to Hogwarts, staying by his side and making sure that he was safe, and he wants more than anything to be important and useful. And when Harry is sorted into Slytherin, it all falls apart. But, with his talent in Occlumency and Legilimency, and his strange affinity for wards, Dumbledore realizes that he just might be the perfect spy.
After his sorting, Harry found that he was neither wanted as his brother's protector nor able to be it, and that Dumbledore seemed to have no way for him to be of use anymore. Still, he survived the year, pursuing his talents and making allies (and enemies) within his House. Before he can return to Hogwarts, he has to make it through a summer with a family that doesn't think too highly of Slytherins. But once he does return, he finds himself in an even more hostile environment as the whole school has turned against them. And to make matters more complicated, Dumbledore finally has a way for Harry to help.
