Max poured the kettle, chuckling, was he sure? Of course he was sure. He had made his decision and that was that. Like with everything in his life. He was a forty-three year old man for goodness sake, he’d know if he was interested in women AND men. He would surely… know… right?
‘Yes I am sure.’ Max responded, and he was proud his voice didn’t quiver. He wanted to conversation closed, but he had to know. ‘What brought this thought on?’
Luka didn’t look convinced. He looked like he was ready to drop a bombshell that would ruin Max’s carefully constructed life of sim racing, good food and doing whatever he wanted to do.
‘What about Charles Leclerc?’
Max nearly choked on the sip of tea he was taking, it was too hot anyways. He calmly put his cup down on the counter before asking
‘What about him?’
Luka sighed with an exasperated air.
‘Uncle Max. Can I be blunt?’
Max had a feeling he wasn’t going to like this.
