    After the police receive an anonymous package containing more than two dozen detailed journals of analysis on all known (and unknown) Pro-Heroes in Japan, a nationwide search is launched to find the author before the information is leaked to the villains. Shouta Aizawa finds himself more invested in the mission than he originally thought.

    Meanwhile, Izuku Midoriya finds himself on a rooftop after giving away his life's work. He is stopped by a hero he always admired, a man who understands all too well what it feels like to be standing on the edge.

    Or, Izuku and Shouta find a family in each other in the most unlikely of ways.

    Adapting is, perhaps, one of the most difficult things a person could ever do.

    Humans are pattern-seeking creatures, after all. Humans rely on what they know to make sense of a chaotic, uncertain world, oftentimes doubling down on what has served them in order to grasp at whatever control they can get in a world so out of their control.

    If they could, most humans would refuse to adapt at all.

    However, Midoriya Izuku has no choice but to adapt when All Might tells him to be “realistic”.

    No doubt, it is hard. But with some overdue encouragement and support from his mother, Izuku discovers a door previously unknown to him, one that, with some adapting, opens to a possibility that enables him to fulfil his lifelong dream, albeit in a different form.

    And, unwittingly, starting a chain reaction that would have massive repercussions for all of society.

    After years of silence, Izuku returns to his hometown to care for his ailing mother, unexpectedly crossing paths with Katsuki Bakugou. Caught in a web of past grievances and present pain, both Izuku and Katsuki face the unresolved feelings that stretch back to a pivotal day-one that neither has forgotten, marked by decisions that could have changed everything between them.

    Alternatively, Izuku returns to his hometown, his fractured friendship with Katsuki threatens to unravel not only both their futures, but their pasts as well.

    "Look at us, Deku," Katsuki murmured, his voice barely above a whisper as they stood outside the closed diner. The streetlight cast shadows, mirroring the tension that hung heavily around them.
    "This isn't working," Izuku started, his voice shaky, eyes darting away from Katsuki's intense gaze. "Maybe this was a mistake."
    Katsuki's hand shot out, grabbing Izuku's arm, pulling him back just as he turned to leave. "You think you can just walk into my life and then walk back out again?"
    Izuku met Katsuki's fierce grip with an equally sharp glare, "Well, Kacchan, you didn't seem to have a problem with me walking out of your life the first time, did you?"
