forest witch hoseok accompanies winter god namjoon through the woods on the first day of winter. he does this every year; he waits for the winter god to reach their usual spot while guiding winter into the realm. like any other year, the two walk together and talk about the seasons, about hoseok's forest... they've been in love with each other for years, but the only things they can talk about are trees and seasons. they're good at what they do, but feelings are a foreign concept to them.
winter is always the same, but not this year. this year, it has something strange in store for them in the form of a passed out human beneath a mountain of snow. his name is min yoongi. they decide to nurse him back to health together. while spending more time together than they ever have, they realise feelings aren't so difficult, after all. they were just missing a piece, is all. a yoongi-shaped piece.
