Summary
Powder and Vi were the only people who survived the warehouse explosion and Marcus was no where to be seen. Vi almost left her, almost abandoned her sister but through the rain and her own tears she heard Powder crying, calling out for her. "Take care of Powder," Vander's voice echoed in her head. She couldn't leave her.
Now, years later, Vi is an enforcer with a steady income working long hours while her sister runs a shop down in the Undercity, Explosive Powder's, where she makes, sells, and repairs all sorts of gadgets and weapons, with the exception of explosives. Vi couldn't risk it again, the explosion at the warehouse, so Powder had made her a promise, the only one she'd need from her, no explosives. But what happens when a new, dangerous type of explosive device starts cropping up and leads a determined Enforcer into the Undercity searching for its inventor? What would Vi do to keep Powder out of prison and would that change if, all these years later, Powder broke her promise? She wouldn't do that though, right?

Summary
The once mighty kingdom of Atlas has fallen from grace. The war that Jacques Schnee started for his pride and greed ended months ago when he died in battle. Winter Schnee, the queen of Atlas, is looking to fix the damage that her father caused, but in order to do that she must first restore her kingdom which she cannot do without help. Vale was the only kingdom willing to offer it. Now, Ruby Rose, the princess of Vale is travelling to Atlas to aid Winter in her goal, as an emissary, as an advisor, and as a sister-in-law. The king of Vale and the queen of Atlas have agreed to tie their kingdoms together through the marriage of their second heirs, but there are two of them in Atlas. Prince Whitley and Princess Weiss have never met the princess of Vale but in a month's time one of them will be engaged to her. Who will Ruby choose and will they want to be chosen?
