Along the way, the group will meet new friends and foes, and quite possibly old enemies, brought back from the depths of their rest by what lurks in the shadows...
[This fic is most likely going to be discontinued. It was a huge undertaking and there wasn't much behind it in the first place. Maybe I'll finish it one day, but probably not any time soon.]

Summary
In an alternate universe much different from the Pokemon world we are familiar with, the lush tourist attraction of Aeos Island is not a haven for people and Pokemon alike, but instead a barren wasteland riddled with bandits, thieves, despair, and suffering. The Pokemon here were forced ages ago to live within the confines of the Aeos Flats by humans with no care for their lives. But when a certain Houndoom who seems to be in cahoots with the humans arrives on the Flats, it's not just a chance to learn more about why they're stuck in this smoldering desert; it's a chance to finally escape the prison the residents of the Aeos Flats were trapped in oh so long ago.
