Reo could only blink at that, his eyes still glossed over from sleep as he stares blanky at Nagi. "...What time is it?" are the first words that come from his mouth.
Nagi, unphased, glances behind him to the alarm clock he has situated on his windowsill. "Around 6:30 AM," he answers, looking back to the other.
They didn't have to get up for another hour before they had to get ready for school, Reo notes to himself as a heartfelt grin overtakes his lips and initial shock. "You're up this early just to wish me a happy birthday?"
"Mm," Nagi hums, his expression doesn't change and yet it's so obvious to Reo that he's pleased. "Yeah. Happy birthday."
