Sawamura Eijun makes his way to the MLB at 21! His first game was a success and the team decides to celebrate their victory in this new club downtown.
"NEW MIAMI MARLINS BATTERY FALLS VICTIM TO GANG RELATED DRIVE-BY SHOOTING IN DOWNTOWN MIAMI. CATCHER DIED ON SPOT, PITCHER IN COMA".
Eijun feels his head spinning, he has always been a light weight at drinking but the bright light is new.
"If you could let them all know what you are capable of and that you are worth the extra mile, would you do it?" a child-like voice asks. "Of course, I'm the ACE!" Eijun answers oblivious to his situation. "Very well, I'm looking forward to your story" the voice says again. "Huh? Who are you?" Eijun asks now. "You may call me Kami. I'll grant you a second chance, make the best out of it." the voice snickers. "Huh?"
Sawamura Eijun died at 21 years old, only few days after being put into coma. He wakes up at 9 years old. 'Make the best out of it' he swears to himself.

Sawamura Eijun has regrets like everyone else. Even though he's older and has to fight his own demons, he still respects his ideals, still respects himself. That's why he continues to pitch like never before, even though he's far away from the country where he was born, far away from the people he once thought were important.
In his last game of the season, when the ball he pitches is hit in his face by the cleanup, the last thing he expects is to wake up in some random part of Japan.“Are you really my brother?! No! Wait a minute! How can I have an OLDER brother in the first place?!”
Eijun really wants to shove a sock in his past self's mouth to shut him up.

BREAKING NEWS: Yakult Swallows shortstop Kuramochi Yoichi (27) and Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Sawamura Eijun (26) found dead following suspected hit-and-run collision on icy road
After waking up in his childhood bedroom, Mochi travels to Nagano to look after his best friend. Who he meets there is definitely not who he expected.
A little girl with pigtails blinked at him. Her eyes were wide, curious, unafraid.
“…Mochi?” the girl asked, voice tentative.
“Eijun?” Kuramochi whispered, disbelief thick in his throat.
The girl nodded once, slowly. Both froze for a moment, staring at each other, time suspended between recognition and wonder.“What the hell happened?” Eijun’s voice was low, more serious than usual.
Kuramochi shrugged, letting the ball roll idly in his palms before tossing it back to Eijun. “I… don’t really know,” he admitted.
“Well, at least you’re normal. A boy. Meanwhile… I somehow got turned into a girl.” Eijun shook his head, muttering under his breath.Bookmarked by Arpi1314

The final game had ended days ago.
The cheers were gone. The trophy sat forgotten on a shelf in the classroom. His teammates were still buzzing talking about scholarships, uniforms, and the pros.
Sawamura Eijun... walked home in silence.
The sun had dipped behind the trees by the time he reached the hill. From there, he could see the empty field they’d played on as kids. The old diamond still faintly visible.
A breeze rolled over the dirt, lifting dust into the fading light.
He stayed there for a while.
Just watching.

“Are you going to keep playing?”
His mother’s voice from that morning. Soft. Careful.
“I guess,” Eijun had said, eyes on the floor. “I mean... I don’t hate it.”
She hadn’t asked more.
That night, lying in bed with his glove on the windowsill, Eijun stared at the ceiling.
Everyone kept talking about high school. About Koshien. About scouts.
But when he closed his eyes, all he saw was dirt, a spinning ball, the sound of the mitt.
That was it.
No crowd. No spotlight.
Just that moment.
And for now, it was enough.
