With little to no tact Minho blurts out, “I’m straight.”
Jisung freezes, eyes widening.
“What?” His blinks are slow at first, but get faster as he registers Minho is serious.
“I’m straight.”
“You’re–straight?”
“Yeah.” Minho’s heart spikes as he watches Jisung’s soft smile drop.
A few seconds pass of Jisung staring at his feet, brows furrowed. When he looks up there's something new in his eye, he looks angry. Shit.
“You’ve been flirting with me all night.”
Shit. Yep, he's angry.
“I have.” A true admission.
“And you’re straight.”
“Yeah. Shit–I’m sorry, Jisung.”
“Get out,” he turns immediately.

Those thoughts came and went, uninvited, when Jisung wasn’t running himself ragged trying to feed every hungry mouth and warm up every trembling body in town. They crept when he sat by the windowsill as his mother tried to teach him embroidery, tiny onesies for the children he was expected to bear, and mended clothes for an alpha he’d only met once. The same alpha he was promised to, as soon as his scent was deemed sweet enough to deserve notice.
His family’s name was a promise of hard work, of obligation and duty, not books or paintings, much less polished accents like it meant in the Capital. His respectability and reputation looked like knowing how to serve, how to do what was asked without complaint, not having the brains to form opinions.or jisung lives in the mountains, and lee minho has found his match in the honeyed scent of the omega at the doors of the convent.
