Summary
The live feed flashing before Lucy’s eyes was neither ash nor dust. Grainy images couldn’t mask the distinct outlines of rubble. Of ruins. An entire building brought to its knees. Resting its head against the cement sidewalk below in an eternal sleep. The fire within slowly burning out. The roar of its flames grumbling into submission.
In the aftermath of the collapse, the entire DIA building brought down in an attack, Lucy must grapple with the fragility of existence as she waits to hear news about Kate’s survival.
As she desperately tries to hold onto fading hope, Lucy struggles to accept that the life she has led with Kate, away from the prying eyes of her team, may now only be a distant memory. One that no one else will ever know about and one that she will never forget.

A rewrite of the second half of season 1, beginning at the end of episode 11...
Lucy is lost and hurting after the events in episode 11. She doesn't know where to turn and ends up at Kate's door...
Kate wants nothing more than to help Lucy, and to repair their relationship, but however much she tries she can't seem to find a way to reach the woman who means everything to her.
As Lucy spirals, will they ever be able to heal the hurt of the past and eventually find a way back to each other?
