Summary
“What are you doing, my love?” Kazuha asked with a mild tremor in his voice. He himself wasn’t any more experienced with carnal matters than his lover, but he wasn’t entirely dense. His question was more of a habit than anything.
“Giving you a gift.” Kunikuzushi said, turning his reddened face down to continue tugging at Kazuha’s belt. The blond gasped, squeezing Kunikuzushi’s hands.
“You don't have to do that.” he said, voice barely above a whisper. Kunikuzushi shook his head, finally untying the sash to continue towards his goal.
“But I want to.” he said firmly. Kazuha couldn’t find it in himself to protest, and even less so as his cock shamefully twitched to life.
In the barren, war-torn wasteland of Yashiori Island, the two lovers are forced to retreat into an abandoned barn for the night. Between such unfavorable circumstances, Kunikuzushi can only wrack his head for long hours on what he could possibly gift Kazuha for his twenty-second birthday. In the end, he can only settle on one solution—himself.
Can technically be read as a standalone since it doesn't contribute largely to the plot, but minor spoilers for the end of the longfic.

Red was the colour of the lilies that grew around a remote village deep within the inhospitable island, the only beauty among the rare inhabitants of these salty, barren lands. Kazuha's father, the tribe's priest, often told the legend of their origin during rites. Once, at a time of great need for the tribe, the Sown God descended upon these lands.
