Danny yawned as he stepped into the headquarters, grimacing about the sweat under his shirt and shifted the coffee tray in his grip more solidly before opening the door. God it was too early in the morning to even bitch about the ridiculously high humidity and being this hot already. He knew it would be worse drinking the coffee and yet he needed that sweet caffeine hit in order to even function during the day.

Steve stares at Eddie, who looks back with attentive, unassuming eyes. “Okay, so,” Steve says, transparently stalling for time. “You want me to come with you on a romantic holiday you booked with your girlfriend?”
Danny doesn’t say anything to correct Steve in any way, shape or form. “It’ll be fun,” he offers up.

The last thing Buck is expecting is to be woken up from his ill advised mid-morning nap with a call from Christopher's school, telling him that Chris is sick and should go home. He can't leave his favourite kid to fend for himself so even though Eddie might get mad at him, again, he's on his way to pick up Chris before he can even think about it.
