Summary
Five years after the war has ended Hermione believes she has picked up all the pieces of herself and has now come back to the castle she called home as the new Transfiguration Professor. A night in the astronomy tower during a storm, however, reveals insight into her that only one who observes such a thing, and understands how truly dangerous it is, could begin to comprehend but what is it about her past that torments Hermione so much?
Minerva meanwhile has her own problems. Trying to protect Hermione from death threats leads her back into the realm of a lover she has been waiting for, only to get a rude wake up call to the reality of her situation.
