Eda’s expression softened and the warmth spread out through her face. If anything, she should be the one saying that. “Thanks, Raine.” Raine watched with a fond expression as she looked at their gift with excitement and gratitude, their crooked smile present.
Eda looked at Raine from the corner of her eyes and thought they deserved a bit of something as well. Without thinking, she leaned forward and her lips landed on something warm.
She pulled away and fluttered open her eyes. She had a side view of Raine, meaning what she landed on was at the side of their face. They were flustered and surprised, their eyes were shining behind their glasses.
Eda’s facial expression was the same until her eyes widened in panic when realization dawned on her.
She. Kissed. Raine. On the cheek.
