Summary
Sulking, Narrator curls into himself in Lefty's hold while Righty tries it's best to soothe and comfort him by rubbing circles into his back and nudging at his face to no avail, but he appreciates the effort regardless.
It's been a few weeks since Lord Exo's rejection to his premiere, he should've long since gotten over it by now. Yet there's only an indescribable emptiness in his chest that gnaws at him when the memory resurfaces once again- that deep, imposing, and oh so addicting voice, telling him that he.. was no longer needed. No longer of use.
He was useless.
Then, he was suddenly being called to see Lord Exo. With no context other than "Lord Exo has ordered your presence to his throne room at once." from the soldier with an expression that couldn't be described with anything other than grim and pitiful towards him, Narrator can feel his heart race in panic as he fears what his lord plans to do with him.
So imagine Narrator's shock when he finds himself sitting in Lord Exo's lap while a rough, calloused hand, gently stroked his head with a tenderness he thought he could only ever fantasize about and never actually experience in reality.
Until now, of course.

But even he knew that'd never happen, no amount of delusional thinking could change the current reality that was their upcoming graduation and the inevitability of him and Noli going their own separate ways eventually.
