What can you do with regret? So little. What can you do without it? Kafka’s repeated history is a holy scripture of it.
It’s why Kafka has dashed herself against Himeko again and again, expecting nothing different, and yet each time, it’s a new life, a new horror, a new delight.
Kafka is playing out the script in a time loop. If something goes wrong, it’s not a problem: just die and start over. She’s on her 996th, soon to be 997th, loop.
