Summary
And she looked like a stranger.
No longer was she the girl he’d chased on the playground. The girl who’d plucked onion weeds in the yellow-green field behind Benzo’s old shop, daring him to eat one.
But still, on the slender bridge of her nose, was that pretty splatter of freckles. Dimmed from age, sure. But there, nonetheless. Familiar in a way that struck him all at once—a punch to the gut.
--
Years after being separated, childhood best friends—Jinx and Ekko—reunite in college.
