“Most people think I’m charming.”
“Sure.” Beatrice shrugs, not an ounce of her in disbelief of that. “But Lilith isn’t like most people. She’s not so charmed by the way you keep staring at her.”
“I wasn’t staring at her.” Ava scoffs. “Nah. At you… Yeah, I was staring.”

Summary
Ava rolls over, shutting her brain off, and very carefully presses the palm of her hand on Beatrice’s waist.
Beatrice tenses immediately, a sharp intake of breath filling the otherwise quiet bedroom.
A few seconds pass with nothing and Ava starts to pull away, an apology on her lips, when Beatrice grabs her wrist. It’s so fast that Ava hardly registers what happened, but suddenly, she’s being pulled to the other side of the bed.
Ava lets it happen, helps, and now she’s hovering over Beatrice. She’s so close she can see the shine in her eyes, how wide they are and she can see them flicker to her lips and back up.
Bea’s made this move, it’s her turn now. Ava leans forward, giving Beatrice a chance to turn her away.
When she doesn’t, it’s game over. Their lips meet and every functioning part of Ava’s brain that might tell her there will be consequences to this completely disappear.
The world could set fire tonight and Ava would keep kissing her as the apartment collapsed around them.

The worse thing that Beatrice could think of was having to work with to Ava Silva.
The professor seemed to read her mind and Professor Salvius listed off partners for the biology lab
"Mary will be with Yasmine, Lilith with Camila, and Ava with Beatrice-."
Before Professor Salvius could finish her sentence, a sound of breaking glass echoed through the large lab. Ava looked up sheepishly with a blush creeping up her face.
All Beatrice could think was, "You've got to be kidding me."
