Summary
Sangwon remembers the way Leo tucked into him when he stood on those steps again. The crowd was roaring as he moved, each footstep ringing in his ear. He doesn’t see or hear anyone else at that moment. All he could see then was Leo, the tears welling in his eyes, the subtle shiver in his shoulders, the way his back hunched when he was trying to hold back every emotion that was threatening to spill.
He knows him better than anyone, because Leo was never the type to break in front of others.
Sangwon moved with conviction then, too. He finds Leo first, glad that he didn’t have to climb up any more steps, so he could hold and be held.

Summary
Leo is crazy in every way, imprinting Sangwon onto himself like it was his only way to live. He was never embarrassed or shy in sharing things with Sangwon, choosing to brandish them like a mark, a knowing tell to people that he and Sangwon were as real as they could get.
Back then, before Leo debuted as a soloist, they would have posted pictures of themselves donning their matching items. Subtly, yes, because people still watched. They still prodded. Some things were better kept to themselves, promises shared in the bliss of the midnight moon that Sangwon held onto tightly. But some were freely shared, a sign to tell people that they were okay, that as long as they had each other, the world could keep spinning, and they could keep living.
