Garrick Ollivander: "Yes, nine and a half inches... inflexible.. rosewood... and containing... dear me.."
Fleur Delacour: "An 'air from ze 'ead of a veela. One of my grandmuzzer's."
If a full-blooded Veela's hair was powerful enough to act as a wand core, surely a quarter Veela's hair was a potent enough instrument to perform some magic of its own?
As she delves into the mysteries of threadmagic, Fleur Delacour's hair becomes her first and most formidable line of defence against those who would seek to do her harm because of her Veela status. However, will she ever be able to find someone who lets her be vulnerable enough to let that barrier down?
Spoilers: Yes. Yes she will.

Summary
Severus Snape is a clever man. As part of his trap to protect the Philosopher's stone, he fills all the potion vials (including the one meant to enable the consumer to resist fire) with Draught of the Living Death. Using a flame-freezing charm, Voldemort steals away the Mirror of Erised, unhindered by Harry Potter.
Upon gaining possession of the Philosopher's stone, circumstances force Voldemort to take up the mantle of Lord Slytherin. How does he intend to fulfill the requirement of having two Parselmouth descendants of Salazar Slytherin? Why, by abusing time travel to bring a soon-to-be eleven-year-old Tom Riddle from 1937 to 1993, of course.
Unbeknownst to Voldemort, things don't go quite as planned...
Enter original character, Edmund Cole...
