He held his gun more firmly, pointing in between the crimson eyes.
“It only takes one bullet.” He muttered, guts heating in anger at the amused look from the man some steps away in front of him.
“You ain’t got the nerve.” He hissed, like a snake, a mix between a sneer and a smile forming on his lips.
The soft click of the revolver’s safety unlocking was louder than usual against Harry’s ears, even louder than his pounding heart.
“Try me.”

Summary

She succumbs to her illness one humid September morning, and Waylon’s mourning has him desperate enough to perform an ancient ritual to resurrect her.
The ritual takes six days to complete, and he doesn’t know what he revives --if he even revives anything-- but whatever thing that begins to haunt his house is not his wife.
or Waylon accidentally invites the ghost of the serial killer, Edward Gluskin, into his house and doesn’t hate it as much as he should.

For ages, centuries even, these plans had been altered by nothing but his needs mostly venturing into realms of trickery, schemes, bloodshed and, now, carnal exaggeration.
His appetite to kill had not famished but thinned out in favor of another kind of hunger.
