Chan suddenly dropped his smile and with a serious tone, that he didn’t use very often, said, “Minho, I would like to speak to you about something very private. I have a… favour to ask.”
Minho’s eyes widened in curiosity. What kind of request could it be if Chan didn’t feel like he should just ask straight away? Why did he feel the need to emphasise that they were talking privately? Surely it won’t be anything bad.
“But before I do I want to ask you one thing – what do you think about the imperial consort?” This question took Minho by surprise. Was he really to give his opinion about Chan’s husband? There were million possible reasons in Minho’s head as to why the emperor should be asking him this, but none seemed very plausible. What does Chan want to hear?
