“Seungkwan,” Lord Mace began, his voice unusually solemn. “We’ve received a proposal.”
Seungkwan tilted his head, curiosity piqued. Proposals were nothing new—offers from lesser houses hoping to secure ties to Highgarden were a constant presence. But the weight in the air told him that this was no ordinary arrangement.
“From King’s Landing,” Lady Alys said softly. “House Targaryen.”
Seungkwan’s breath caught in his throat. The Targaryens were dragons—not only in name but in power. With their silver hair and violet eyes, they were creatures out of legend. Though their reign had been tumultuous in recent years, they remained one of the most formidable houses in the realm.
His father cleared his throat, as if preparing himself for the words that followed. “They’ve proposed a marriage between you and the new King Vernon Targaryen.”
Seungkwan’s heart stuttered. Of all the possibilities, this was not one he had ever imagined

Maybe we won’t be able to sell the whole ‘a hero and a princess’ romance, and then—”
The curtain separating their booth from the rest of the bar is abruptly pulled open.
“You’re sitting in my spot,” an unfamiliar voice says.
Rensuke’s head jerks in surprise.
Rensuke gets a leading role in Wild Card, a new film by an acclaimed director Ego Jinpachi. He doesn't expect to see a familiar face walk into the rehearsal studio.
