    Summary

The Head Housemaid, Danica, is constantly caught in the middle of the Commander of the Druzhna's affectionate crosshairs.

The echoes of a violent past still cling to her mind, rendering her emotionally stunted, while the echoes of a calmer and much older past join the torment all the same.

Love is not only strange; it is easily weaponized, and hurts when you're an involved party.

But it is also the most powerful weapon to wield against another's heart that doesn't bring harm.

Vesna doesn't seem to care that her love has been unrequited for 3 years straight, and that's exactly what her love interest relies upon. Maybe not now, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not next year, but someday, Danica will need Vesna to hold that door open for her a little longer so she can pass through it without too much friction.

There will come a time where Dearest Danica can feel comfortable reciprocating these charged feelings, but that door must stay open long enough for this foretold comfort to arrive.

    Sincerely,

A slowburn and clashing dynamics lover.

    Summary

Priya Summer only came to Twillford for her uncle's funeral; she didn't expect to stay, and she certainly didn't expect the rude girl in the ridiculous hat to turn up at the funeral, determined to marry her brother. Prudence Mortimer has to find a husband, or her brother will send her away for good. The Duke isn't interested… or interesting. His sister, unfortunately, is very hard to stop thinking about.

Expect grumpy/sunshine vibes, slow burn, self-acceptance, and probably too much blushing. And def some spice eventually (with warnings).
