Something about the Todd family must have been marked for death. Even getting adopted hadn't saved either of them.
Aka: if I had a nickel for every time a member of the Todd family died and was brought back to life with a new green aesthetic and Trauma™ I'd have two nickels! Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
